Christmas 2011

Darrin and I had a great Holiday Season together!
This is one of the trees at church.

My sweetheart took me to The Galleria Mall for lunch
and we both ended up in the Christmas spirit!
It was really beautiful!

THREE TREES

This year we hosted a Spanish speaking family through the toy drive.
This toy drive helped 1600 people in our community.
We have already enrolled in conversational spanish classes
so we will be learning even more in prep for next year!

UPDATING YOU: CREATIVE HIGHLIGHTS The Galleries, the projects....

This is the magazine cover I did for PRISteen and the Editor Heather Moss. It was a fun project to work on. This is the poster size for the red carpet event / promo. It was pretty nice!
ENJOYING THE Contemporary!
Loving the modern furniture stores, so popular here.
Had to get one on this amazing coffee table!

This is one of the most creative looking McD's I have seen yet!

Darrin and I have also been enjoying a few up and coming underground art shows. This show was in lower Greenville in an old warehouse. I will be blogging more on the studio blog about this one, my new work, and many other artists I am working with and meeting. I am seeing and defining new movements, trends that are starting here. It's very exciting to me! Good thing he likes to take pictures!

Updating you on some of the things I've done (that I have photos for!) AND reasons that I have had no time to blog!

I did have some fun this summer working for a couple of weekends with some of my friends who own the General Store at the Texas State Fair. There was lots going on and lots of perks...it was pretty fun!

This is the Plano Balloon Fesival, another new thing I did this fall. They wait until night and call it "the glow" when they light up all the balloons at once. It was so beautiful. My camera couldn't even get close to getting it!

A TRIBUTE TO DALLAS SHOPPING
AND THE MALLS BUILT BY THE
FAMOUS ART COLLECTOR NASHER.
THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU!

NO WONDER I'VE BEEN BUSY, RIGHT?

A note on the Tex-Mex. I was highly skeptical but am now 100% convinced that there not only is such a thing but also that I can't live with out it. The food is sooooo good!

My new neighborhood

Duck Creek. I have ducks, I have rabbits, fishing and nature...not bad for the city! My new hood offers so many nice things like "Riverwalk" around the neighborhood. It's not what you might expect for such a close location to downtown! They have developed my area in such a smart community way that I really feel safe and relaxed!

Catching up to now!

I have been so busy with my move, work, my boyfriend (Darrin) who has been showing me Dallas, and traveling that I have finally decided to just give you the update and highlights from the past 6 months that I have been too busy to blog! I miss all you and look at the family blogs each week so I've got to get back on track!

My new home in TEXAS

I know it's taken me 6 months to catch up on my blogging! Sorry family! I did have a major job location change this spring. After many long hours of commuting the long long endless 6.5 hours twice a week,  I finally got moved and settled in Dallas over the summer! It's been amazing and I LOVE TEXAS! I'll be catching up the photos, lots of great stuff happened in the last few months! So much that I haven't had time to post!

Summer 2011 Jacob

Jacob enjoyed the summer playing video games and swimming with his bff Jake G.
